There are three ways to apply for currency exchange at Kookmin Bank: receiving at a branch, receiving foreign currency by delivery, or gifting foreign currency. For individual customers, only they can receive foreign currency.
The limit per case is less than the equivalent of USD 10,000 during business hours, and less than the equivalent of USD 5,000 outside of business hours (including holidays). Free travel insurance is available when exchanging more than the equivalent of USD 300.
The foreign currency delivery service is a service in which the foreign currency requested for exchange is directly delivered through the post office delivery service to the date and location designated by the customer.
Shipping is free (applies to USD 600 or more). Foreign currency gifting is a service in which foreign currency is given as a gifticon to a friend or acquaintance, and the gift recipient visits a KB Kookmin Bank branch to receive foreign currency in cash.
