What is a health certificate (health examination result)?
A health certificate (= health examination result) is a certificate that is inspected and issued to prove that the body is healthy. If you are working in a job related to food, hygiene, or catering industry, it is a mandatory inspection, and if not issued, fines may be imposed by the government. For the first, second, and third violations, a fine of up to KRW 600,000 is imposed, so you must get it issued.

Validity
General food service workers: 1 year from the date of issuance
School meal service personnel: 6 months from the date of issuance
Entertainment workers: 3 months from the date of issuance
If you do not receive a re-examination after the expiration of the validity period of your health certificate, you may be subject to a fine for negligence, so please be sure to undergo a re-examination before the 1 year / 6 months / 3 months period expires.
