이유식 시작시기 및 이유식 종류 알아보기 Learn when to start weaning and the types of weaning

After the baby finished eating the formula, he started chewing on his mouth. She not only lice, but also reached out to the table where her mom and dad were eating, munching and drooling as they ate her rice. She put a little spoon in her mouth just in case. As she watched the baby not push out with her tongue, she thought, ‘Is it time to start weaning food?

The pediatrician was of the same opinion as me. She recommended starting her weaning a little earlier, as her baby is growing and developing quickly for her age of six months.

She had no idea how to start, so on her way home she bought a baby food book and perused it. Nothing was easy for her, such as the ratio of water to rice, the degree of thinness, and the size of the ingredients.

■ When to start weaning food

Usually, the time when a child starts weaning is between 4 and 6 months of age. Start at 4 months for exclusively formula-fed mothers and at 5 to 6 months for exclusively breast-fed mothers or mixed mothers. Recently, regardless of the method of breastfeeding, about 6 months is recommended a lot, and the time is slightly advanced depending on the child’s growth and development.

■ How to make baby food

Early baby food starts with what is called ‘10 times porridge’. It is a rice brewed with a ratio of 1 part rice to 10 parts water. At this time, if the digestive system is not able to digest it, you should be careful because an allergic reaction may occur.

If you experience any allergy or abnormal symptoms after eating baby food, write down the baby food ingredients, the time you ate the food, and the reaction so that you visit the hospital. In my experience, taking pictures was more effective than writing them down.

After feeding Mieum for about 2-3 weeks, you can upgrade the level of weaning food if you feel comfortable. The point to note here is that until the stone, 500 ~ 700cc of breast milk or formula should be fed together. Even if you start weaning, breast milk or formula milk should be your staple food until your baby’s first birthday. Feed 4-5 times a day.

When the child can’t use a spoon, the mother has to spoon feed it. At about 8 months of age, even if it spills messy, your child should hold a spoon in her hand and teach her to eat on her own.

Weaning food has a great purpose in supplying nutrients to the child, but the biggest purpose is to practice how to use the tongue or how to chew food with the teeth.

■ Baby food ingredients and liver

It is said that it is good to start weaning food by cooking it with one ingredient rather than several foods in the early weaning. If you mix several foods from the beginning, it is difficult to determine which foods you are allergic to.

Also, it is very important to start with the taste and make it without seasoning. The recommended daily amount of salt for pre-dollar children is 0.2g and should not be fed more than 1g of salt per day. The amount of salt in breast milk or formula is sufficient, so do not season pre-baby food or give cheese, kimchi, or soybean paste. A child’s kidney function is still immature, so eating more than that can put a strain on the kidneys. Even in order to get into the habit of eating fresh from a young age, you should not season it.

As time goes by, if your child gets tired of non-spicy food, it is also effective to add sweet potatoes or pumpkins. Typically, ingredients used in early baby food include broccoli, sweet pumpkin, cabbage, sweet potato, zucchini, chestnuts, bok choy, and bananas.

If your child refuses to eat, it is better to take a break for a few days or a week and try again rather than force-feeding. However, if a child starts weaning after 6 months of age, the obsession with milk powder or breast milk becomes stronger and the rejection of new foods becomes severe, so it can be difficult to proceed.

It is difficult to make baby food with sincerity every day. However, thinking of a child who eats well and grows up healthy, don’t forget that the baby food you make is the first step that has an important impact on your child’s formation of proper eating habits, and I hope you will fight today.
