자대배치 조회방법This time, we will introduce you to how to check the placement of new recruits. If you are a male citizen of our country, you must serve in the military. Although the service period has been greatly reduced compared to the past, you still have to serve for a long time: 18 months for the Army, 20 months for the Navy, 21 months for the Air Force, and 18 months for the Marine Corps.
Especially when our children, friends, or acquaintances enlist, we may wonder whether they will be deployed to the front or the rear.
In Korea, units are generally assigned to the Military Training Center, Ground Operations Command Recruit Training Battalion, 2nd Operations Command Recruit Training Battalion, Military School, and Transportation Training Regiment. If you use the official website of the Republic of Korea Army or The Camp app, you can see most of the unit deployment status. You can search.
Now, let’s take a closer look at how to check the unit placement of new recruits.
As explained above, there are two ways to place new recruits: using the Republic of Korea Army website and using an app called The Camp.
Let’s look at the two methods in order.
1. Access the official website of the Republic of Korea Army.
2. On the homepage’s main screen, select the ‘New recruit unit placement inquiry’ item in the ‘Frequently used menu’ area.
3. Select your name, date of birth, enlistment date, enlistment unit, etc. and then press the ‘Search’ button.

4. Then, you can immediately check the unit deployment status.
However, depending on the Ministry of Education, the timing of notification of unit placement is different. We recommend that you check the notification period by referring to the table below and then make an inquiry.
