소상공인 전기요금 특별지원[Today Energy Reporter Seong-cheol Lee] The government is providing special support for electricity bills for small and medium-sized business owners.
On the 14th, the Small and Medium Venture Donation announced that it would announce related projects that were temporarily reflected during last year’s National Assembly budget deliberation and begin accepting applications sequentially from the 21st.
Those eligible for support are individuals and corporate businesses that are active as of the announcement date and have annual sales of 30 million won or less and are responsible for paying electricity bills for their workplaces.
The business registration certificate must have a business opening date before December 31, 2023, and the business must not be closed as of the National Tax Service check on the business announcement date.
In addition, the annual sales in 2022 or 2023 as of the date of business announcement must be 30 million won or less as of the National Tax Service.
Businesses confirmed as eligible can receive support of up to 200,000 won, and to prevent duplicate supply, only one application can be made even if one person is the representative of multiple businesses.
In particular, the government is dualizing the support method, taking into account the fact that there are contractors who have signed a contract for electricity use directly with Korea Electric Power Corporation, but there are also non-contract users who use electricity without signing a contract and then pay for it.
First of all, ‘direct contractors’ who have signed a usage contract with Korea Electric Power Corporation can apply for two months from the 21st to April 20th.
In the first project, support is provided by KEPCO directly deducting electricity charges from the contractor’s bill, and the deduction benefit is automatically applied from the first bill issued after being notified as a target.
‘Non-contract users’ who use electricity without signing a contract with KEPCO can apply from March 4 to May 3.
The amount paid is refunded up to 200,000 won by separately verifying whether electricity is used for business purposes and documents confirming bill payment.
You can apply online at ‘Small Business Electricity Rate Special Support.kr’, and if you have difficulty applying online, you can get help from 77 regional centers of the Small Business Market Promotion Agency.
Applications are accepted from 9:00 am to midnight on the application opening date, from 0:00 am to 6:00 pm on each application deadline, and 24 hours a day during other application periods.
For the first four days after the start of application/reception, the odd/even system is applied based on the last digit of the business registration number to distribute the number of users.
