Newborn acquisition tax reduction information (with forms and samples)

As of January 1, 2024, the Special Local Tax Restriction Act has been partially revised, and a reduction in acquisition tax for newborns will be implemented.
It applies to homes acquired on or after January 1, 2024, and retroactive application is not possible.

※Reasons for re-collection after exemption from acquisition tax
1. Failure to report move-in within 90 days from the date of acquisition
2. Acquisition of another house within 90 days from the date of acquisition
3. When selling, renting, or donating within 3 years
We ask that households eligible for the newborn acquisition tax reduction refer to the guide below, fill out the required documents, sign and stamp (required), and be sure to submit the original documents.
