First, unfortunately, mobile phone KakaoTalk does not support the ‘logout’ function. To use it with a different account, we recommend deleting KakaoTalk and reinstalling it. There is a way to delete data and cache by accessing the settings, but it is inconvenient and backdata may remain, so please delete safely and reinstall. To delete, press and hold the KakaoTalk app icon and the Install and Delete button will appear. After deleting it, go to the App Store again and install it.
PC KakaoTalk
This is the PC version of KakaoTalk. When you click the gear icon at the bottom left, the settings menu will appear. Click the logout button here and you’re done! It’s very simple, right?
Remote log out of PC KakaoTalk via mobile
If the KakaoTalk account logged in to your smartphone is logged in to another computer, you can log out remotely using the method we are introducing.
1. After running the KakaoTalk app, refer to the image above and click the three dots button at the bottom right -> Click the gear wheel at the top right
2. When the settings menu appears, click Personal/Security
3. In the Security tab, tap ‘Manage device connections’.
4. A list of connected devices will appear. Please select the account you wish to log out of and log out will be completed after a final confirmation process.
