How to register and charge KakaoPay transportation card
1. Kakao Talk [More] > Click Kakao Pay
Go to [More] in the KakaoTalk app and select the KakaoPay icon to enter the KakaoPay screen.
2. Kakao Pay [All] > Click [Mobile Transportation Card] in the [Payment] category
Now, go to [All] -> [Payment] category in the top tab of Kakao Pay service. Then select the bus-shaped icon (mobile transportation card). Alternatively, you can directly search for transportation cards by clicking the magnifying glass icon (search).
3. Click [Issue Mobile Transportation Card]
For new users, the process of issuing a mobile transportation card is required. You can choose to pay in advance or postpay. There may not be a post-payment selection window because post-payment is not yet fully covered. I will try to proceed with prepayment.
The deferred payment function will be expanded to all recipients in the future.
As shown in the image above, iPhone displays the message [Unsupported].
In Korea, iPhone NFC function can only be used through Apple Wallet (wallet), so Kakao Pay mobile transportation card cannot be used, unfortunately, because there is no partner company in Korea despite NFC function.
If you have entered the corresponding item, click the [Issuing transportation card] -> [Agree to all] button.
4. Setting settings using NFC
Now, you need to activate the NFC setting first so that you can use your mobile phone like a real transportation card. You can enter by pressing the [Enable NFC setting] button in the window, or you can set it in the menu bar itself. Use the method you are comfortable with.
First, turn on NFC and set it to [Card Mode]. You can use the basic mode, but we recommend the card mode because it consumes more battery than the card mode.
If you do not pass the initial issuance process, you can change to [Card Mode] after issuing in [Basic Mode].
5. Use as a basic transportation card
If it is registered as a transportation card in Samsung Pay, there is a possibility of double payment, so you should use it after deleting the card you are not using.
After entering Samsung Pay, go to Settings -> Delete Transportation Card -> Click the Delete button to delete the Samsung Pay Transportation Card.
5. KakaoPay Money Linked Account Settings
Next, you need to link the account to be prepaid to the Kakao Pay transportation card. By default, accounts linked to Kakao Pay Money are automatically linked, and other accounts can be additionally entered and linked.
6. Recharge your transportation card
What if you linked your account? You need to charge your transportation card in order to use it. Since it is a prepaid KakaoPay transportation card, it needs to be recharged.
Automatic Recharge: Automatically debit from your account when the amount drops below a certain amount
Manual charging: Direct charging (select from 1/3/50,000 won)
You can choose one of the methods above that is convenient for you. For automatic recharge, for example, if you set a value to automatically recharge 30,000 won when it is less than 10,000 won, and the balance of your Kakao Pay transportation card becomes less than 10,000 won, you can transfer 30,000 won from your account to recharge. do.

7. Tag your transportation card and use it
Now, you can use your KakaoPay transportation card right away. Payment is made by tagging the bus/subway terminal while the smartphone is turned on (NFC is also activated). You don’t even need to turn on the screen separately, just tag it when getting on and off, just like a regular transportation card.
8. Check usage details
