지드림카드 Gyeonggi-do establishes online/non-face-to-face order payment platform for children’s meal G Dream Card – Pax Economy TV

지드림카드On the 15th, Gyeonggi Province held a ‘non-face-to-face children’s meal support platform launch briefing for the vulnerable’ with the Ministry of Science and ICT, Korea Intelligence and Information Society Agency, and Daegu Metropolitan City at the Seoul office of ‘Bizplay’, the platform developer.
The development of this platform follows Gyeonggi Province and Daegu City being selected for the ‘2022 Non-face-to-face Life Care Platform Construction Contest for Vulnerable Classes’ hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Intelligence and Information Society Agency (NIA) in January this year.
The main content is to link G Dream Card, Gyeonggi-do’s children’s meal card, with Gyeonggi-do’s public delivery app, ‘Delivery Express’, to establish an open platform that allows ordering and payment online and non-face-to-face.
Gyeonggi Province is currently providing meal expenses of 8,000 won per restaurant to about 72,000 vulnerable people under the age of 18 in the province.
The method of payment for meal expenses is selected by the city and county, including children’s meal cards (G-Dream Card), lunch box delivery, and group meals using local children’s centers. The problem is that children’s meal cards can only be used for on-site, face-to-face payment, which can have a stigmatizing effect on vulnerable children and expose them to the spread of COVID-19 infection, limiting children’s options.
To solve this problem, you can open the delivery app, register the child meal card as a payment method, and order food up to 40,000 won per time.
In addition to online ordering and payment through delivery app linkage to the children’s meal support platform, Gyeonggi-do provides ▲convenience store QR code payment ▲integrated children’s meal management system including management of supported children and local government budget management ▲unification of computer system through linkage with Happy Connection and Welfare ▲customer ordering by children Nutrition management service based on food data ▲We plan to add functions such as checking for abnormalities by analyzing usage tendencies such as order time and location.
As each city and county has different methods of paying for meals for vulnerable children, the province plans to pilot the platform in Yongin City and Uiwang City in the first half of next year and pursue expanded operation in the future. We are also working on discovering other online ordering places other than delivery apps.
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi-do last year completely changed the design of the children’s meal card card from magnetic to a card with an integrated circuit (IC) chip, the same design as a regular check card.
From August 31, 2020, BC Card’s general restaurant affiliates (excluding bars, grocery stores, cafes, etc.) were automatically linked to the children’s meal card, increasing the number of uses from about 11,000 in 2020 to about 207,000 currently. Starting in August of this year, efforts are being made to expand children’s meal options, such as allowing children’s meal cards to be used in large supermarket food courts.
