In Busan, the support standard for families with multiple children is expanded from 3 to 2.
Busan City announced on the 20th that starting on the 31st, it will expand the support criteria for families with multiple children from families with three children to families with two children. However, this only applies if one or more children are under 19 years of age.
Families with multiple children are given benefits such as a 50% discount on usage fees for public parking lots, sports facilities, and sports centers in the city, and exemption or reduction of usage fees for youth and women-related facilities. In addition to credit card discount services for multi-child families, such as discounts on gas stations, theme parks, movies, and school fees, you can also enjoy benefits provided by private companies that provide preferential treatment for multi-child families through voluntary participation in the region. You can check the status of participating companies that provide preferential treatment for families with multiple children on the Busan City website.
The new multi-child family card ‘Family Love Card’ can be issued through the ‘BPASS’ application (app), a blockchain-based identification service, or Shinhan Card.
Busan Mayor Park Hyeong-jun said, “With the firm determination that our city will raise a child together when a child is born, we will continue to supplement and develop our generous childbirth support policy.”
Previously, Busan City has been holding a commemorative ceremony every year since 2008 on November 1, when the ‘Busan Metropolitan City Ordinance on Preferential Treatment and Support for Families with Multiple Children’ was enacted. This year’s commemorative ceremony will be held at the Busan City Hall International Conference Hall at 2 p.m. on the 1st of next month.
