While operating a smart store, there may be times when you need to transfer it to someone else. In other words, I am transferring my business’s store to another business, and I wrote this based on my own experience of transferring and taking over. However, this article is about transferring it to someone other than your family.
grantor? assignee?
Transferor: The person who transfers the store to the transferee
Transferee: The person who receives the store from the transferor
Subject to application for transfer and acquisition

In the case of transfer between individual businesses like mine, the transfer is only possible if the transferor closes the business. However, when transferring between family members, transfer is possible even if the business is not closed (family relationship certificate is required). Also, if you are receiving quick settlement, you must apply for transfer after stopping.
Transfer and transfer documents
1) Application for approval of transfer + transferor/transferee stamp
Transfer-Transfer-Document
As you can see, the application for acceptance of transfer must be affixed with personal seals, not the signatures of the transferor and transferee.
2) Certificate of business closure by transferor
If the transferor and transferee are not family members, the transferor must close the business in order for the transfer to be possible. You can close your business by following the procedures below.
Print out the certificate of business closure
* Home Tax Login > Application/Submission > Application > Report of Business Closure > Fill out the Business Closure Report
You can print the business closure certificate approximately 10 to 20 minutes after completing the business closure report.
3) Transferor’s seal certificate (masking of last digits required, excluding gender)
You must personally visit the local office to obtain a seal certificate. If you are receiving one for the first time, you must bring your personal stamp. Sometimes you may know that you can print a seal certificate online, but since this is not possible, please go to the local office to get one issued in person.
4) Transferee’s seal certificate (masking of last digits required, excluding gender)
In the same way as above, the transferee can visit the local office in person to receive the certificate.
5) Transferee business registration certificate
In order to operate a store, you must of course be registered as a business, so you can register your business at Hometax and print out your business registration certificate. For reference, these days, it is very easy to register a business in the mail order business.
6) Transferee mail order business report
You can literally think of the mail order business report as a certificate for selling online. You can report it through the Government 24 link below. Originally, you had to receive the report in person at the district office, but these days, you can also print it out online.

7) Copy of transferee’s bankbook
This is a copy of the transferee’s bankbook. These days, you can download a copy of your bankbook as a PDF or photo from each bank’s website.

Precautions for transfer and transfer
Transfer/acquisition can only be applied through 1:1 inquiry.
If the transferor has multiple stores, multiple stores may be transferred. However, Smart Store can only operate up to 3 stores per account.
ex) Transfer of 2 stores while the transferee owns 1 store > Possible
Transferring 2 stores when the transferee owns 2 stores > Impossible
