의사가 먹지않는 음식It is easy to find information about ‘healthy food’ through various media. It is important to eat healthy foods, but it is also important to know what foods to avoid. Lee Dong-hwan, a family medicine specialist, revealed five foods he would never eat.
Director Lee Dong-hwan first introduced ‘9 foods that doctors will never eat’ announced in the United States. The nine items are processed meats (ham, sausage), soda, canned food, ice cream, white chocolate, popcorn, wheat flour, skimmed milk, and margarine. Director Lee Dong-hwan said that among these nine items, he ate processed meat, canned food, and flour, etc., although not very often, without feeling guilty.
However, director Lee Dong-hwan also had some foods that he ate less than 5 times a year. These are ice cream, white chocolate, popcorn, skimmed milk, and margarine. Director Lee said, “When food is cold, I don’t feel the sweetness very well. Ice cream contains a lot of sugar and is a cold food, so I don’t recognize the sweetness and rarely eat it. White chocolate is not made from cacao, so like ice cream, it is likely to be a lump of sugar, so I do not eat it.”
Margarine, which is high in trans fats, was also a food to avoid. Recently, margarine with lowered trans fat has been released, but he said he does not eat margarine because he feels that it is artificially made oil.
