케이뱅크 청년전세대출 “Applications closed for the day”… ‘Loan relocation’ also driven to Inbang – News 1

케이뱅크 청년전세대출(Seoul = News 1) Reporter Shin Min-kyung = As the jeonse loan switching service begins, internet banks that are promoting low interest rates and free early repayment fees are gaining popularity. The internet banking industry plans to operate loan products flexibly so that they can provide services to many customers while continuously monitoring the influx of customers.
According to the financial sector on the 31st, the ‘Jeonse loan switching’ product launched by K Bank (279570) at 9 am on that day closed in less than an hour.
K Bank explained, “We are monitoring demand and operating with a limited number of daily applications,” and “The number of applicants on that day was high, so the application period closed early.”
As the financial authorities expanded the ‘online one-stop loan switching infrastructure’ to jeonse loans, K Bank also launched a related product on that day.
The online one-stop loan switching infrastructure is a loan transfer system that allows you to easily switch existing loans to mobile phones. Following credit loans in May of last year and housing mortgage loans on the 9th of this month, it was expanded to jeonse loans on that day. According to K Bank, the number of searches for our jeonse loan increased by about 4 times compared to usual on this day. The reason why it was able to attract so much attention was the effect of entering the platform. When launching this product, K Bank also entered the loan comparison platform Naver Pay and Toss to expand consumer contact points.
Low interest rates also played a part. As of this day, the jeonse loan switching interest rate for K Bank is 3.39%~5.99% per annum for general jeonse and 3.44%~3.75% per annum for youth jeonse. According to the Korea Federation of Banks disclosure, the average jeonse loan execution interest rate for K Bank in December of last year was 3.81% per annum. It was the lowest among internet banks and all banks.
There is no separate early repayment fee for all jeonse loan products of K Bank. Customers can switch to a jeonse loan with a lower interest rate at any time if they want.
Interest was also focused on the jeonse loan switching of Kakao Bank (323410) on this day. On this day, the number of inquiries for ‘monthly rent deposit loan switching’ at Kakao Bank more than doubled compared to usual.
Regarding the high popularity, a Kakao Bank official said, “We will adjust the number of applications so as not to harm the customer experience and continue to operate the service stably.”
Kakao Bank has a wide range of products, from general products of the Korea Housing Finance Corporation to youth monthly rent deposit loans and SGI monthly rent deposit loans. In the case of the SGI monthly rent deposit loan, which is the only one among internet-only banks, the loan limit is up to 500 million won and there is no limit on the rental deposit.
The loan interest rate is also provided at a minimum of 3% per annum (as of January 31, 2024) for all of the Korea Housing Finance Corporation general, youth monthly rent deposit loans, and SGI monthly rent deposit loans. Interest rate discount benefits are also applied when refinancing.
If you are a newlywed couple who has been married for less than 7 years, you can receive interest rate benefits of up to 0.2%P. Kakao Bank also has no early repayment cancellation fee. A financial industry official said, “Since it is a product used by actual users, the demand to switch to a lower interest rate seems to be high, similar to that of housing mortgage loans,” and “Demand is moving toward internet banks because there are fewer restrictions on interest rate benefits and early repayment fees.” However, he added, “The only difference is that there are restrictions because there are things to consider, such as the lease contract period not exceeding half.”
Meanwhile, Toss Bank (456580) did not offer this lease loan refinancing service. However, customers who currently have Toss Bank lease loans can check their loan information if they use the refinancing service.
A Toss Bank official said, “We are currently reviewing participation in the refinancing service.”
