There is a free collection service for used household appliances. You do not need to place a waste disposal sticker purchased at a community center after putting your old home appliances out of the house.
This is a service provided by the waste home appliance collection reservation center of the Korea Electronic Product Resource Purification Mutual Aid Association, which is comprised of the Ministry of Environment, local governments, and electronics manufacturing companies.
▶Types of waste home appliances eligible for free collection
-Air conditioner: indoor unit, outdoor unit, ceiling type, integrated type
-Washing machine: drum/general washing machine, washing machine and dryer. dehydrator, etc.
-Refrigerator: Home, commercial, kimchi refrigerator, home freezer, wine refrigerator, showcase, etc.
-TV: LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), PDP (Pasma Display Panel), projection, CRT (Cathode-Ray Tube)
-Other home appliances: dishwasher, dish dryer, cold/hot water purifier, air purifier, treadmill, copier, microwave oven, electric oven range, vending machine, PC set (body + monitor), old audio set
-Small home appliances must be disposed of in bundles of 5 or more: vacuum cleaners, fans, electric rice cookers, electric heaters, PC units, monitors, printers, fax machines, etc.
-If there are mandatory collection items, small home appliances can be collected together even if there are no more than 5 items.
▶Excluded from collection of waste home appliances
-Outdoor air conditioner and wall-mounted TV that have not been removed
-Exercise equipment excluding treadmills
-Electric blankets, hot water mats, jade floors, electric blankets
-Musical instruments such as electronic pianos
-Medical devices such as massagers and steamers
-Products whose original shape has been damaged by separating parts from home appliances such as refrigerator coolers and washing machine motors.
-Kitchen appliances such as gas oven range and gas stove
-If collection is not possible with collection personnel alone, consultation on method is required)

▶Precautions
Products that cannot be collected by manpower can be collected after measures are taken to make them collectible by residents who requested them.
-If collection is not possible without a ladder truck or crane.
-If the product can only be collected by disassembling it
-If the air conditioner outdoor unit is installed in a dangerous place, etc.
