How to check cell phone unpaid bills

There are three ways to check unpaid cell phone bills. First, you can check it through the telecommunications company app you are using, secondly, by calling 114 from the telecommunications company, and lastly, by viewing the broadcasting communication credit information joint management site.

Inquiry of unpaid bills through telecommunications company’s app
There are three mobile carriers in Korea. SKT, KT, LG U+, First of all, since I am using SKT, I will introduce how to check unpaid bills with SKT. Please note that for SKT, KT, and LG U+, you must install the respective carrier’s app to proceed. If you don’t have the app, you can quickly download it below.

Download the SKT Mobile T World App

Download KT My CAD App

Download LG U+ Your U+ App

Mobile T World
First, install the mobile T World app and log in after connecting. If you have logged in, click the magnifying glass at the top right of the main screen and search for ‘unpaid bill inquiry’. Search results appear at the bottom. Click MY > My Rates > View Unpaid Fees.

In my case, I have applied for automatic payment, so the fee has never been unpaid. If there is an unpaid bill, it will be inquired about the unpaid bill. If unpaid bills are retrieved, you can proceed with payment through ‘Pay’.

As mentioned earlier, unpaid cell phone bills can have a significant negative impact on your credit score. This is because the credit rating agency judges that it has reached a situation where even a small fee cannot be repaid. Therefore, if you are constantly delinquent due to forgetting to pay your cell phone bill for non-financial reasons, you should apply for automatic payment to prevent further delinquency and non-payment.

How to apply for automatic payment

How to apply for automatic cell phone payment is as follows. It is explained based on SKT, but you can think of it as a similar concept to KT or LG U+.

First, click ‘MY’ at the bottom of the main screen of the app and then click ‘My Rate’.

If you scroll down a little, there is ‘Automatic Card Payment’ under Payment/Billing Information. Just click and register the card to pay, and that’s it. In addition to automatic payment by credit card, there is also a method of automatic payment to a bank account. Mobile phone device installments and small-amount payment amounts are included in deductions even in year-end tax settlement, so if you want to receive a little more deduction for year-end tax settlement, try using the bank account automatic payment method. For automatic card payment, the deduction is 15%, and for automatic bank account payment, the deduction is 30%.

The second method is to check unpaid bills through a landline phone. It is a method to inquire unpaid bills directly through a counselor through the customer center number of each telecommunication company, and it is a good way for aging seniors who are not familiar with mobile devices to check.

SKT Customer Center: 080-011-6000 (free), 1599-0011 (paid) without an area code
KT: 100 without area code (paid)
LG U+ : 1544-0010 (paid)
Please note that all unpaid bill inquiry methods are currently available for a fee, except for SKT.
